Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National park lies within the shadow of the mighty Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain whose peak may be seen from the park in clear weather. Only nature and her majesty could create such a back drop to the wildlife pageant found at Amboseli. Game is seen en-route to the park, which crosses plains.

Where the Maasai tribesmen tend their cattle in an age old-tradition. Lunch is taken at a lodge/Camp within the park, followed by another game drive where lion, cheetah can be seen including elephants and hippo that are found bathing in the swamp grounds which get there waters from Mount Kilimanjaro.

Hell’s Gate National Park covers an area of 68.25 sq. km and is situated in the environs of Lake Naivasha about 90km from Nairobi. The park is 14km after the turn-off from the old Nairobi –Naivasha highway.

It is characterized by diverse topography and geographical scenery. It is an important home of the lammergeyer.

Attractions – Game viewing, raptor nesting in cliffs, spectacular gorge walks, hot springs, scenic landscape, the Geothermal Station, Maasai culture.

Wildlife Includes eland, buffalo, lion, giraffe, zebra, leopard, impala, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, klipspringer, rock hyrax and chandler’s mountain reedbuck.

Activities – Hiking, camping, rock climbing, biking, bird watching and wildlife viewing

Masai Mara Game Reserve

This remarkable day takes you to the Masai Mara Reserve and into the domain of the Masai, Kenya’s cattle-herding nomads determined to preserve their traditions. The Mara is magnificent, home to Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife, and regarded by many travellers as an essential stop on any tour of Africa. When westerners think of Africa and safari, this is place they imagine – golden grassland plains pocked with acacia, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and jackals bound by together by the cycle of life and death. Three days here will only scratch at the surface of the wonders of the Mara.

Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Early morning pick up from the hotel and drive along Mombasa road with a stopover at Emali tourist souvenir shop for a bathroom break. Then, you’ll continue with the safari to Amboseli National Park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. You’ll arrive at Amboseli for lunch/check-in and have a short rest before an evening game drive starting at 3:30 pm. In search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and hippos with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro till sunset return for dinner/bonfire and overnight stay.

Day 2

Amboseli National Park to Lake Naivasha

Pre-breakfast game drive at 6.00 am, you will return to the lodge/camp at 8:00 am for breakfast, check out, and depart for Naivasha with a stopover on the way for lunch. You’ll arrive in Naivasha from 3.00 to 4.00 pm, you’ll check in at your hotel, and go for a boat ride at Lake Naivasha to visit Crescent Animal Sanctuary and see wild animals at their closest. Your dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

You’ll have an early breakfast and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve at 7:30 am with a stopover at Narok town for refreshments and shopping if need be. You’ll proceed to Masai Mara and arrive in time for lunch and check-in. You will relax before going for your afternoon game drive at 3.30 pm.

Day 4

Full-Day Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will head to a full-day game drive in search of the Big Five at Masai Mara National Reserve. You will carry a packed lunch for a great dining experience in the Wild. The game drive will last till sunset then go back to the lodge for dinner, bonfire, and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Masai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast, you will check out and start your journey to Nairobi to arrive late afternoon. You will either be dropped back at your hotel or the airport or hotel of your choice in Nairobi.
