Amboseli National Park
This Park has over 80 differnt mammals to be found ranging from the tiny (and rarely seen) spectacled elephant shrewto the huge bulk of African elephant.There are also over 400 bird species. The climate is mainly hot and dry.Amboseli is in the rain shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park has airstrips for light aircraft.
Tsavo East and Tsavo West
Tsavo National Park is the largest park in Kenya,the park has an interesting and diverse history.The park is a vast expanse of savanna strechting from Mtito andei along Mombasa -Nairobi road and south to Tanzania boarder. The north-eastern boundary along the high way adjoins Tsavo east national Park .The park is reach in wildlife with the lagest herds of elephants.Over 600 species of birds have been recorded. Reptiles and crocodiles can be seen as well. Mzima springs in the northen of Tsavo west of the park water that has filtered underground from the chyulu hills gushes from below a lava ridge into a series of clear pools.
Mombasa
